Acne is a disease of the sebaceous glands. These glands are under the skin and produce an oily substance called sebum. Small holes in the skin called pores and glands are connected through a canal called a follicle. The hairs grow under the skin, and also pass through the follicle to reach the surface. Inside the follicles, oil carries dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. When a follicle is plugged, it creates a pimple or blackhead.
Most pimples are found on the face, back, neck, chest and shoulders. Acne is not a serious threat to health, but can leave scars.

Get to the root cause from the issue. You need to understand that acne isn’t an external issue, but it is an outward manifestation of an internal one. It makes perfect sense that if the problem is internal, then the solution has to be internal. Many pimple sufferers make the mistake of treating the symptom rather than the cause which is why they only cure their acne temporarily at best.
